Mon Valley Integration held a Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View Site Edition (SE) training class for its programming engineers and technicians earlier this week. The objective of this course was to bring more of our team up to speed on our existing View SE infrastructure installations, as well as educate some of our newer programmers on setting up a successful View SE deployment. Jed Hepfner came in from Rockwell’s Cleveland office to conduct the two-day course. Day one consisted of distributed networking discussion and system design proposal. Day two consisted of software setup, system implementation, and troubleshooting scenarios. Labs were conducted using Microsoft Windows Server Operating System, FactoryTalk View Studio, SE Server, and SE Client. FactoryTalk ViewPoint and VMWare Workstation were also discussed during the two-day session. MVI would like to thank Rockwell Automation for putting on a great class, and CED Mosebach Electric for providing lunch both days.

FactoryTalk View® Site Edition (SE) is a supervisory HMI software package for enterprise solutions. It has a distributed and scalable architecture that supports distributed-server/multi-user applications, giving maximum control over information where you want it.

Mon Valley Integration is a Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator; if you have plans to implement a FactoryTalk View SE system at your mine or plant, please contact us to see how we can help.
